Discover the Power of Authentic Conversation:
Leadership Dialogues
A Transformative Experience for Rotary and the Broader Community
What if the way we talk to each other could actually change the way we live together?
Rotary Peace Fellow and Founder Linda Low has devoted her life's work to that very question. Through Leadership Dialogues, a dynamic program born from her groundbreaking Community Leadership Dialogues initiative, Linda has trained a number of Rotarians around the globe to facilitate these dialogues in their own communities. Through the dialogues, facilitators invite individuals and communities into a space of deep listening, shared humanity, and collective insight.
Originally designed to address conflict transformation, Leadership Dialogues has grown to encompass community engagement, accountability, and bridging divides in today’s polarized world. Now offered to Rotary groups and community organizations alike, this facilitated dialogue experience is more than just conversation — it’s a journey into empathy, leadership, and civic responsibility.
The Dialogue Experience
At the heart of this experience are immersive techniques such as:
- Third-to-First Person Storytelling
Topics may vary - like economic inequality, race, or community — but the result is powerful: a profound recognition of another’s experience, and often, a clearer view of one’s own. - Circle Work & Shared Values
Personal values become guiding principles for the dialogue. - Switzerland-Agree/Disagree
Each person's point of view is heard through reflective listening on topics specific to an organization's needs. - Talking Stick Method
We foster active listening, — reinforcing the art of pausing, processing, and truly hearing.
A Model Rooted in Peace and Practicality
Our dialogue model isn’t theoretical — it’s lived. In developing Leadership Dialogues, over 100 leaders, policy makers, and professional mediators were interviewed to uncover what makes conversation not only effective, but transformational.
The answer?
“Unique and immersive facilitation techniques that guide people into having substantive and meaningful conversations… in a very non-confrontational way.”
This is not about avoiding the hard topics — it’s about creating a new way to step into them.
Why It Matters — And Why Now
We live in a time where one word can mean ten different things to ten different people.
If we’re not even talking about the same thing, we’ll never come to a creative solution.
We strive for community, peace, and mutual understanding. Leadership Dialogues offers a practical, human-centered path to get there — one story, one circle, one deep conversation at a time.
Who It’s For
- Rotary Clubs seeking to deepen their inclusive efforts and leadership training.
- Community organizations navigating division or seeking shared direction.
- Educators, civic leaders, and organizers aiming to create connection and trust.
- Anyone ready to explore the space between difference and common ground.
