John Scibal is an optometrist from Morehead City, North Carolina.  He received his BA from Duke University, and his optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry.  John owned and operated a private practice in Morehead City from 1987 to 2009. After selling the practice, he became a Certified Business Appraiser (CBA), and opened an appraisal/consulting business that provides business management advice and valuations for optometrists interested in buying or selling a practice.

John joined the Rotary Club of Morehead City Noon in 1990, where he remains a member today.  He has served as Club President on two occasions, and has held most leadership positions in the club.  John was an Assistant Governor for Area 1, an RLI graduate, a Rotary Foundation Benefactor, and a member of the Paul Harris Society.  In 2010 he participated in an NID in India with Nancy Barbee, where he saw first-hand how Rotary improves lives around the world.  In 2012 he led a Group Study Exchange (GSE) Team to Buenos Aires, where once again he experienced the common bond of fellowship and service with Rotarians from around the world.

John and his wife Rhonda enjoy travelling, and spending time with their three grown sons.  Much of the summer is spent enjoying life on the Crystal Coast, including boating, fishing, and scuba diving.
